Detta Kenzie writes the kind of songs that feel older than they are — folk melodies dressed in pop clarity, built from years spent between rehearsal rooms and open moorland. Her songwriting favours the specific over the abstract: a river remembered, a train heard from a hillside, the particular quality of light before dusk.

Timekeeper, her debut album, gathers that world into ten songs about time passing and staying anyway. It's the first release from Timekeeper Records, a label built around her and the small handful of artists who share the same instinct for storytelling over spectacle.
